An Englishman, with 40 years of experience in Town Center Retail asset management, investment, development and leasing, Robert moved with his family to the United States in 2007 and established IM Property Investments (USA), part of IM Properties Plc, one of the largest privately owned real estate investment and development companies in the UK.
A Chartered Surveyor, Roberts career has been defined by retail with a focus on Town Centers. He has spent many years in the advisory and consulting business in the UK where his clients included national and international tenants, development companies and institutions.
He now heads IM’s US operations from their Chicago HQ and leads a team of 14. Having funded the development of a 700,000-sf portfolio of 9 Mariano’s supermarkets in Chicago, IM’s current portfolio extends to over $350m of mixed-use development and investment projects.
The flagship Corners, Town of Brookfield, is a 750,000 sf Town Center overlooking I-94 10 miles West of Milwaukee and comprising 420,000 sf of retail with 244 apartments. Anchored by a Von Maur Department Store, regional grocer Sendiks, a luxury theater Silverspot, a soon to open Improv Comedy Club, Arhaus, LL Bean, Lululemon, and Anthroplogie, the project opened in 2017. Robert is the CEO of the Corners and works closely with all stakeholders.
