Bio:

Sara Fang Horton earned a Bachelor's of Science Degree with Honours from the School of Building and Estate Management at the National University of Singapore in 1992. Since that time, Sara has worked in many places including Singapore, multiple cities in China (including Hong Kong), Bahrain, India and Malaysia. Simultaneously, she has diversified her professional expertise by engaging the retail real estate industry in various roles, including agency, retailer, investor, developer, and even trade organisation director. In various capacities with CBRE (Singapore and China), Primadeli (Singapore), Treasury Holdings (Ireland), Tesco Property (U.K.), Starmall Group (Turkey), Edamah (Bahrain), Reliance Group (India), and the last role as COO with International Council of Shopping Centers (U.S.A.).

Sara has been called-upon to do site selection, shopping centre planning (including organising trade and tenant mix), research and assessment of rental market comparables, leasing, and marketing. She also has guided malls all the way from construction, through ramp-up, to grand-opening, and into the operations phase.

Currently, Sara holds the position of Head of Retail for UEM Sunrise, one of the biggest government linked developer of residential and retail developments in Malaysia. The retail assets are the highly regarded Publika nestled in one of the highest income residential areas in Klang Valley Malaysia, Arcoris, Marina Walk and Mall of Medini in down south Johor.
