So why change the name?

There is no doubt that initially, pandemic related retail shut downs fueled by necessity increased both consumer and retail tenant demand for physical shopping places to be more digital. Now however, even centers that have not yet embraced the role of full ecommerce marketplace and fulfillment providers understand that the “digital bar” has been raised and both shoppers and tenants want more digital integration into the physical shopping environment not less.
