Restaurant Support in a time of Social Distancing

We all have to do our part to slow the spread of this virus, and social distancing is a proven way to do that. In certain locations, restaurants offering carryout and delivery are being considered essential.

If you have restaurants that will be staying open to offer pick-up and delivery and you want to ensure the community knows about it, we have prepared a brief step-by-step guide as a helpful reminder on how to add a message to the homepage of your website for important information.

The guide includes instructions for:

  • Adding a message to your homepage
  • Adding an Operational Message to every page
  • Add a Takeout and Delivery page
  • Creating a new custom category for “Take Out & Delivery” for center restaurants
  • Marking stores as “Delivery/Pick Up Only” on your directory

You might also consider sending a list of restaurants that will offer Carry-Out and Delivery options to your email list as many of those customers may not see your website. Social media is another effective way to get the word out about your center.
