Earlier this week, I was honored to be one of the speakers at the inaugural HAProxy Conference in Amsterdam. Over 2 packed days, speakers from 18 different companies gave their real world experience with HAProxy, a software load balancer that we rely on heavily at PlaceWise. In the last few years, HAProxy has grown into a vital piece of our network, as it is the endpoint for all of our SSL Certificates and where we manage both the performance and security of connections to our backend servers.
It was great to hear the solutions that companies like Vimeo, Booking.com and DigitalOcean have put in place to ensure performance at scale - as well as the opportunity to present what value we’ve been able to gain by using the product. Making those connections also drives innovation in the way we architect and manage our network.
The Internet landscape is constantly changing, and we have to continue to adapt to keep up and provide the best performance possible for our clients.
